Lab Reports

Every Mode Peptides lot is supported by batch-specific testing documentation from an independent laboratory.

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) provides analytical information that helps researchers evaluate the quality and identity of a specific lot, including:

  • Identity — mass spectrometry can be used to help confirm that the analyzed material corresponds to the labeled peptide.
  • Purity — HPLC analysis can be used to quantify the proportion of the target compound in the tested sample.
  • Content — analytical results may provide information regarding the amount of peptide present in the tested material.

How to Read a COA

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) contains key analytical information that can help researchers evaluate whether a specific lot matches its labeled identity and stated quality specifications.

Identity Match

Mass spectrometry can be used to determine the molecular mass of the analyzed material and compare the result with the expected mass for the labeled peptide. A result consistent with the expected molecular mass supports the identification of the material as the labeled peptide. Identity testing is important because purity alone does not establish that the correct compound was tested.

Purity Percentage

HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) separates components within a sample and can be used to estimate the proportion attributable to the target peptide. For example, a reported purity of 99.5% indicates that the analytical method measured approximately 99.5% of the detected material as the target compound under the stated test conditions. The associated chromatogram and analytical report provide additional context for interpreting the result.

Net Peptide Content

Lyophilized peptide materials may contain residual moisture, counter-ions, salts, or other components depending on the material and manufacturing process. For this reason, the stated quantity of a vial should be interpreted according to the applicable product specification and analytical documentation rather than simply relying on gross vial weight. Where available, the COA's content or net-peptide measurement provides additional information about the amount of target peptide associated with the tested lot.

What “Third-Party Tested Peptides” Means Here

The term “third-party tested” should be meaningful and verifiable.

At Mode Peptides, third-party testing refers to analytical testing performed by an independent laboratory rather than relying solely on internal quality claims. Testing documentation is provided for review so researchers can evaluate the reported results for themselves.

Our quality documentation may include both HPLC purity analysis and mass-spectrometry identity testing. These methods evaluate different characteristics: purity testing helps assess the composition of the sample, while mass spectrometry helps evaluate molecular identity.

Where batch-specific testing is provided, the results correspond to the identified lot rather than representing a generic test for an entire product line.

None of it requires trusting us. The lot code on your vial either resolves to a published certificate above, or it does not — and the QR code on the label takes you straight there. That is the difference between a supplier that claims testing and one that can be audited by anyone with a phone camera.

Testing FAQ

How the testing program works—and what the documentation means for the vial in your hand.

Each Mode Peptides lot undergoes independent analytical testing using methods such as HPLC and mass spectrometry to evaluate purity and support molecular identity verification.

A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) documents the applicable analytical results and is made available for review. Each vial’s QR code provides a convenient path to the corresponding lot documentation, allowing researchers to verify the information associated with the material they receive.
